Destinations of 2017

We have been uncertain for awhile of our trips for this year, but we recently sat down and put a list together. Some trips are up in the air because we have to confirm vacation with our bosses, but here is what we have so far! Note that we will continue to add more destinations when we see fit ūüôā

February

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
A quick day trip to Philadelphia to see the Liberty Bell and the main attraction – watching hockey! Every NHL season we watch the St. Louis Blues play against an opponent in their stadium. You may wonder how many teams in the NHL are there? As of 2017 there are 31 teams! So far we have been to: LA Kings, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars and of course St. Louis Blues. Along with the Liberty Bell and hockey we are also looking forward to eating some Philly cheesesteaks!!!

March

Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland/Virginia
Hitting the beach with Shelby to see wild horses play in the ocean and sand! Ever since we saw pictures and videos of this beach we have been wanting to visit and what better time than when Shelby comes to visit us. Now we get to share our adventures with her. Our first company trip – yay!

Shenandoah National Park, Virginia
Going hiking in our first National Park of the year with Shelby! The last time we took her hiking she passed out in the car, we are predicting the same outcome.

Fredericksburg, Texas (only Christina)
Going back to Texas to have a girls reunion with my best friends from Texas A&M University! We will be wining and dining in Texas’ hill country and vineyards all weekend long and reminiscing over our college days while making new memories.

April

Rohoboth Beach, Delaware
Going to enjoy the sun at one of the best beaches on the East Coast and conquer another state!

May

Kansas City, Missouri
Going to the Chierek wedding! Adam will be a groomsman for one of his best friends, Kyle. Kyle and Melissa are such a beautiful couple and we cannot wait for their special day. Plans for sightseeing are unknown right now.

St. Louis, Missouri
Going back to Adam’s hometown to watch his sister, Andrea, walk the stage for her college graduation. This trip will be spent with family and friends, but a pitstop to one of the cities newest pastry shops, Nathaniel Reid Bakery. He is one of the best pastry chefs in the nation and we are excited to finally try his pastries!

June

Christina’s parents are coming to visit us. Very excited for their visit and¬†a chance to go exploring with them.

July

Really pushing for the Caribbean, but that might be out of our budget. We shall see…

August

Green Bay, Wisconsin
Going to our second wedding of the year to¬†watch Angela and Josh tie the knot! Angela is Christina’s cousin and we are looking forward to being with the Giorgini/White family again. We miss everyone¬†so much since our epic Mediterranean cruise last summer.

September

South Africa
We are going to South Africa to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary! We are beyond excited for this trip as this has been on our bucket list for the past three years. We will be staying at one of the best resorts, &Beyond Phinda Mountain Lodge and will go on daily morning and night drives. We will also make a trip to a cheetah rehabilitation center where Christina will most likely cry from pure happiness. Cheetahs are her favorite land animal in the entire world, she did school projects on them in both middle school and college – kind of obsessed. We are really looking forward to exploring another culture, continent and country.

October

Zambia
After South Africa we will be flying to Zambia and staying at Tongabezi, the 36th best resort in the world, according to Travel & Leisure. We will be visiting the glorious Victoria Falls on both sides and living life on the edge, literally, at Devils Pool. During dry season the water is low and people can swim on the edge of Victoria Falls! We will also be going on more safari game drives and possibly take a day trip to a park in Botswana. We will enjoy boat sunset cruise on the river, visit local villages and schools to immerse ourself in the culture. It will be a well rounded experience of adventure and exposure that we will never forget.

November

College Station, Texas
We will be going to Texas A&M University to watch Shelby receive her class ring. There is a beautiful ceremony and afterwards students dunk their ring in a pitcher of beer. All of this is¬†a big tradition at Texas A&M and yes, Christina did this too. She is proud to say that she drank her pitcher of beer in 36 seconds! Game on Shelby! Gig’em Whoop!

New York City, New York
A lifelong bucket list for Christina Рgoing to New York City after Thanksgiving for the holidays. We will ice skate around the famous Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center, watch the Nutcracker, and do anything else festive. We will of course eat well by making our way to Dominique Ansel Bakery to devour some cronuts. Hopefully we can also dine at a Mario Batali, Daniel Meyer, Eric Rupert, Daniel Boulay, or Michael White restaurant.

December

December is our busiest time of the year for our job, but hopefully we will find time to spend the holidays with our families.

Places we will visit with uncertain dates/time

Pittsburg, Pennsylvania

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Las Vegas, Nevada for hockey!

Stay tuned to see what we check off our list this year!
